JJ Original Longhorn Bass6

In
the 50s and 60s the six string bass was used in Nashville recordings to double the acoustic bass lines. This technique, referred to as tic-tac bass,   produced bass lines with a distinctive click and presence that was so prevalent in sound recordings of that era. These instruments have since found their way into all styles of modern music. Normally played with a thin pick and tuned E~to~E one octave below standard guitar.
